Nevada City · Sierra Foothills
Twelve certified organic acres of fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers — grown by one family, on one hillside, since 1999.
The Farm
David & Tonya Lindsay bought this farm in 1999 and have been growing and improving it every year since.
David came to it from ranching, in a Texas upbringing. Tonya spent more than ten years as a Master Gardener with Nevada County. Together they decided to share their love of growing and raising things with their neighbors and friends — and that is still, quite literally, the whole business model.
The farm is worked as a permaculture system and certified organic: fruit and nut trees, vegetable beds, herbs, teas and cutting flowers layered across twelve acres of foothill hillside.
“A little bit of everything.
So much variety.”
